All About That Base: Eau Claire Express Swing Into Summer
after almost two years, baseball enthusiasts can again take themselves out for a local ball game at Carson Park
It has been more than 600 days since the last Eau Claire Express game, but the team is ready to hit some home runs with their summer season starting on Monday, May 31.
“The decision was simple,” said Jacob Servais, general manager of the team. “We needed to play.”
After checking in with the Eau Claire City-County Health Department and the City of Eau Claire, the team aims to make this season as normal as possible. The Carson Park Stadium will be limited to 50% capacity, with attendees sectioning out in pods – whether they comprise family or friends, that’s up to you!
When it comes to concessions, the Eau Claire Express are partnering with the app Fan Booth to allow online ordering and pickup of your favorite baseball grub. Speaking of delicious eats, Jay Ray’s Deli of Eau Claire is also taking over the Best Seats in the House section of the Carson Park Fan Deck, where you and up to 20 friends can choose from one of 18 fresh subs paired with potato salad, famous Carson Park mac and cheese, and potato chips, and enjoy a good game of ball.
The Express have no shortage of family events slated for this summer, with their Friday night fireworks and giveaways each week, the ZOOperstars! hitting home base on June 13, Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act on July 15, Breakin’ BBoy McCoy slated to sing, act, and perform on Aug. 6, as well as a slew of other happenings, which you can find here.
