Burger Boys began with a joke – though we can assure you that this new ghost kitchen operating out of Randy’s Family Restaurant in Eau Claire is certainly no joke. “We had a bunch of different names that we had spun around,” says owner Dave Schneider. “But ‘Burger Boys’ was always just a kitchen joke. That every time a burger would come in, and the grill person would be cooking it, everybody would yell out, ‘Hey, what’s up burger boy? Cook that burger!’ And it was just one of those jokes that became a name.”

After a challenging last year at Randy’s, Schneider thought it was the perfect time to try something new – but something simple. In March, the ghost kitchen opened on Eat Street, following a few weeks later on DoorDash. “Our big thing is just simplicity,” he said. “We wanted to keep it simple and fast.”

Burger Boys features mouthwatering all-American eats, including (of course) burgers, waffle fries, onion rings, cheese curds, and malts – all with whopping portion sizes that almost (but not quite!) spill out of their to-go packaging.

In the future, this burger-based biz plans to expand with a food truck, but for now they’re focused on keeping it nice and simple.
