Cling to spring with the Heyde Center for the Arts' 57th annual spring art show, which features 67 artists. This year’s exhibit will run from April 18-30 during the Heyde Center’s open hours. Because it is a non-juried show, it features work from many artists who are exhibiting at a professional level for the first time, said executive director Deb Johnson. “It’s their first exposure,” she said, “their first time learning about it. They wonder if they’re any good, and they bring it in, and you’re like, ‘Wow! It’s incredible!’” Three judges will select three award winners and three honorable mentions, with one people’s choice award that locals can vote on. Co-sponsor The Chippewa Herald of Chippewa Falls will give a $50 gift card to each of the winners, and the Heyde Center offers a gift certificate to honorable mentions. This year’s show will feature painting, photography, and unique mediums such as a miniature house. “Come enjoy an opportunity to see amazing local artists,” Johnson said.
