The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre is blending toe-tapping jazz and magical mystery with two upcoming performances – The Jungle Book and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which are slated to hit the stage this April. “There are many good acting roles in the show,” Executive Director Wayne Marek said, “and it’s always exciting to see what the performers bring to the roles and how they are different each time the show is presented.”

Executive Director, Eau Claire Children's Theatre

See the magic of Narnia through the eyes of four children who wander into an elaborate wardrobe only to discover an entirely new world – intermixed with an evil White Witch, loyal new friends, and the courage of youngsters battling for good – at the children’s theater’s performance of The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe on April 9 at 7:30pm, April 10 at 1:30pm and 7:30pm, and April 11 at 1:30pm. Tickets cost $16 for adults and seniors, and $10 for students and youth.

Then, enjoy the classic (and snappy) story of Mowgli and Bagheera and the ferocious tiger Shere Khan – along with a sneaky snake, elephants, a beloved bubbly bear named Baloo, and toe-tapping rhythms of the jungle – on April 16, 23, 30 at 6:30pm and April 17, 24, and May 1 at 12:30pm. Tickets are $15, including dinner and the show.

“It’s great to see a younger cast come together to present a show and for families to enjoy a dinner theater experience,” Marek said. “(It’s) not something that most children have the opportunity to do – going out for dinner and a show just like the adults do!” Snag your tickets in advance at ecct.org.
