Pablo Center Gala Part of Campaign to Keep Venue Operating
If you’ve been missing the Pablo Center at the Confluence, here’s your chance to help support the venue while it remains closed to the public, likely through January 2021. The arts center recently announced a $500,000 Bridge Campaign to help cover its operational expenses for the coming months. In addition to direct donations, supporters are invited to join the second annual Pablo Center Gala, which will take place online through the Pablo Center’s website at 7:30pm on Thursday, Aug. 13. This special live-streamed program will highlight exclusive performances, speeches by Executive Director Jason Jon Anderson and Pablo Center staff, artwork gallery showcases, and a silent auction – as well as performances from musicians Phil Cook and Naalia, a collaboration between saxophonist Sue Orfield and painter Terry Meyer, and Milwaukee’s poet laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton. Ticket prices start at $20, with options to either purchase the ticket alone or with add-on offers to enhance the viewing experience. After purchase, the streaming service for the gala works on only one device at a time.
