Whether you’re craving a robust meal of seared ahi tacos with mango salsa or a classic basket of gooey cheese curds, The Hubb has got what you need. Owned by Megan Zwiefelhofer of Eau Claire, this versatile food truck was one of the many food trucks featured at the first ever Food Truck Friday, and they’re making a big statement with their bold menu.

“The Hubb was designed as a gathering spot to bring people of the Chippewa Valley quality food at affordable prices,” Zwiefelhofer said. The yellow food truck, which has been on the road since April 2017, makes appearances at a multitude of events, both public and private.

On top of weddings, graduation parties, and corporate events, the truck has been featured at a variety of fairs, festivals, and fundraisers such as the Winter Fest and Games, the River Prairie P10 Festival, and the Blue Ox Music Festival. The menu varies depending on the day, but The Hubb guarantees to appease all types of taste buds. The menu includes smoked gouda mac and cheese bites, beef bulgogi tacos with radish slaw, chicken tenders, and baja chicken tacos with watermelon.

The crowd favorite, however, is the seared ahi tacos with mango salsa, Zwiefelhofer said. The tacos helped The Hubb win the “Best Entrée” award at the Taste of the Valley in June. All in all, business has been swell for The Hubb and Zwiefelhofer said the team has been keeping busy this summer, with no plans of slowing down.

Volume One’s new Food Truck Friday event series – presented in partnership with Silver Spring Foods – kicks off July 13 in downtown Eau Claire – in the parking lot between N. Farwell and N. Barstow streets (aka the “Railroad Lot”). Each month, up to eight food, snack, and drink establishments will open for business for lunch and dinner (11am-8pm), providing the opportunity to sample and feast upon the work of multiple mobile chefs..
