Eau Claire native Missy Isaksson had her dream come true this year … in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit edition. The recent Stout grad works as a swimsuit designer and had one of her own suit designs and eight designs she helped with featured in this year’s issue. Isaksson – who designs for Las Vegas company Kate Swim – went to Stout for apparel design and development and learned the process from the idea to the finished product. Her accepted swimsuit is a powder blue and pink one piece with a full zipper up the front and is named – appropriately – “The Missy.” SI’s swimsuit issue sells four million copies each year, so if you’re one of those four million this year, you can flip to page 97 to see some local pride.
