Announced earlier this month, Eau Claire’s Bon Iver is holding a “Bon Iver, Bon Iver” remix contest.  Hosted by Indaba Music and sponsored by Swedish streaming sensation Spotify, Justin Vernon and Co will be selecting a winner for each of the ten reworked tracks from their sophomore album released last year. The stems (individual audio tracks) are available online at Indaba for hopefuls to make a piece that creatively combines Vernon’s songwriting with their own cuts or ideas. Participants can upload the tracks straight onto Indaba until the deadline of August 30. As if the cash prize of $1,000 per song wasn’t enough, winning remixers will be awarded a spot on the official ‘Bon Iver, Bon Iver: Stems Project’ remix album. Just think: Your name, alongside that of Justin’s. It’s almost too much to handle.
