It has been 15 years since Patti See and Bruce Taylor started putting together Higher Learning: Reading and Writing About College, a text both for and written by college students, and intended for college orientations and composition classes. Well in January the UWEC English educators published the third edition of said anthology, once again addressing common issues for students entering college and young adulthood, such as disabilities, alcohol abuse, LGBT concerns, and Greek life. This edition features 21 student-written submissions and succeeds in giving students an idea of the entire experience of college, not just study skills and task-oriented tools. The idea came to them when a student asked See why there aren’t any books about college life. Well, problem solved.
