Whether you laughed when she was pushed down a hill in a wheelchair or thought it was unjust that she got a fist full of mud to the face, there's no debate that Alison Arngrim, who is best known for playing the bratty Nellie Oleson on Little House from the Prairie, is back with a vengeance. In her new one-woman comedy show "Confessions of a Prairie Bitch: How I Survived Nellie Oleson and Learned to Love Being Hated" (also the name of her book which was published last year), Arngrim relives tales from Little House as well as stories from her life outside of the prairie. Many people are curious about how life on Little House really was, Arngrim said, and it's no holds barred when it comes to asking questions about Oleson. "I know what you want to know," said Arngrim of the audience at her shows, "so here it is." Arngrim, who spent seven years playing snot-faced Nellie Oleson, has been confronted by fans who hated her character. She has had garbage thrown at her during a Christmas parade, she said, and someone has even come up to her at a book-signing event and said, "I forgive you." Aside from the issues fans have with Oleson, Arngrim's show and book deals with important issues such as working with PROTECT to keep children from being abused and being an advocate for AIDS.
