Junior songstress Kenzie Joy has penned a whole new CD of originals. Joy, now 14, busted on to the scene last year with her self-titled album and a sweep of coffee shop and outdoor appearances. Her sweet voice and authentic lyrics have created quite a buzz about this talented teen. Already a skilled musician, it’s really her youth that makes her so exciting to follow as a performer. With time for her voice and skills as a songwriter to mature, she has nowhere to go but up. Kenzie Joy will release her new CD Why Not at a concert at the Mabel Tainter Theatre on Friday, March 25. She will be backed by her band for the evening, “The Gents” including local musicians Dave Schrader, Dave Engedal, Randy Sinz, and John Upthall. The concert starts at 7:30, tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. Check out her website for more information about Kenzie Joy.
