The band naps after a hearty snack of Styrofoam.

Eau Claire’s fresh-faced talent emerges in a three-piece jazz ensemble, making tidal waves of luscious sounds with their fair-weather vocals and docile sound. A close knit combination of all the right stuff, Adelyn Rose is composed of the following members: Adelyn Strei (vocals, guitar), Patrick Kuehn (drums, vocals, upright bass), and Leo Strei (bass, guitar, vocals). Some may be familiar with Kuehn for his participation in Thresher Shark and Wide Plans of a Palindrome, two other local bands. Adelyn’s single, You, is a great addition to any rainy day soundtrack. Their music is fruitful with an indie-jazz quality, while vocalist Adeyln Strei’s sound is reminiscent of Feist and Cat Power. Adeyln and her brother Leo have furrowed much of their talent from their involvement in the jazz programs at Memorial. Adeyln Rose is heavily influenced by Eau Claire’s scene, having been compared to EC’s own Amateur Love and Large For a Little Bit. Leo commented on having such muses as Deyarmond Edison and even Andrew Bird. The trio recently played at Infinitea, proving their collaborative flair in an engaging performance. When asked about their live shows, Leo states, “We like to go out on a limb, with a not so serious approach, a lot of fun rock stuff!”
