We know you have a file on your computer labeled “Stories I May One Day Publish.” Haul them out of that folder, fill out a cover sheet (available at VolumeOne.org), and get them the exposure they deserve! Volume One’s 6th Annual Fiction Contest is now underway. Submit up to two pieces in each category — flash fiction (up to 750 words) and regular fiction (up to 3,000 words). In addition to having their work printed in Volume One this summer, a winner in each category will receive $50 in cash and $500 in credit from EC Printing toward the creation of their own book! Runners up will receive $50 or $25 gift certificates to Crossroad Books. Submissions must be original, previously unpublished work. The contest is open to everyone, but preference is given to authors residing in the Eau Claire, Menomonie, and Chippewa Falls region. Entries may be e-mailed to trevor@volumeone.org.
