Since coronavirus hit the news, we’ve all been told we need to “flatten the curve” by staying home and taking other measures to prevent the spread of the virus. But what does that actually mean? Dr. Alexandra Hall, a physician at UW-Stout’s Student Health Services and a biology instructor, explains how flattening the curve can help protect the capacity of our health care system and ultimately save lives.
