"The Arise film started off as a short film documenting Thanatos' struggle with life and the knowledge that the undead exist – but he is the only one that is prepared for the inevitable zombie holocaust. The Arise short film is 17 minutes in length. It features music from Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, and No Loving Place. Since the inception of Arise, the story has expanded into a much larger concept. Now Arise has moved forward into becoming a full feature length film."
