1968 vs. 2008: Student Activism Then & Now

In the time leading up the 1968 presidential election, most Americans had turned against the war in Vietnam and support for the president was at a historic low. That public sentiment played out sometimes violently on college campuses across the nation including the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2008, polls show that attitudes toward the war in Iraq and the president match those of 40 years ago, yet the UW and other campuses are quiet. Produced by WI Public Television.
