Blake Klapmeier

Media Strategist

A native to Duluth and the lakes of northeastern Minnesota, Blake was raised in an entrepreneurial family and went on to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating in 2015 with degrees in Journalism & Mass Communication and a focus in Broadcast Production Management. He also obtained a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Leeds School of Business.

After college, he moved out to California’s Bay Area to work for a boutique creative agency, Emotion Studios, helping with business development and creative strategy.

He then came back to the upper Midwest and took a multimedia Account Executive job with Morgan Murphy Media in Madison, Wisconsin (the city where he was born) — focusing mostly on its Madison Magazine arm of the company.

His latest position before Volume One was in the Twin Cities area, as an Inside Sales - Print rep with multinational media conglomerate Thomson Reuters.

In addition to his world travels and personal love of aviation, he considers himself a music, film, comedy and philosophy nerd, but can also be found enjoying the beautiful outdoors—either camping or riding on his snowboard in the winter and wakeboard in the summer.
