Vintage automobiles, handcrafted jewelry, and eclectic memorabilia — oh my! The Perfect Pairing, a new Chippewa Falls retail establishment, has opened its doors — and is filled to the brim with curated items and stories that have withstood the test of time.
Staci Sullivan, the owner of the Perfect Pairing Boutique, has lived in Chippewa Falls her entire life and previously hosted pop-up antique sales with a close friend prior to opening her shop. In this time, she got to know the interests of area residents and found a need to establish an official brick-and-mortar.
The name of this boutique was inspired by Sullivan’s love for fashion and ephemera of the past — along with a nod to her own family’s history, she said.
“The name also reflects my parents who, in my opinion, were the perfect pair for each other,” Sullivan said. “Their love was quite evident. They complemented each other like a necklace compliments a blouse.”
Whether vintage or new, the Perfect Pairing Boutique will provide quality items sourced directly from area creatives and women Sullivan has met throughout life, she shared. Since its opening in May of this year, patrons who have found themselves in the vintage portion of the establishment have shared stories of nostalgia and how they used objects for sale in the past.
"There is an eclectic array of time period items that reflect the building's personality including old gas pumps, antique signs, oil pumps – and yes – even a couple of (Ford) Model T's."

“These interactions continue to be an inspiration to me,” Sullivan said. “As our new inventory arrives monthly, my goal is to provide uniqueness.”
This small but mighty storefront has lived many lives prior to the Perfect Pairing Boutique — including a former gas station, phone company, car dealership, and most recently an H&R Electric office. Owned by the Sullivan family for eight years, the building (501 West Elm St., Chippewa Falls) now houses the boutique.
In this time, the Sullivans incorporated decorative and structural elements to evoke memories of the building's former tenants, contributing to its distinct vintage charm, she said.
“There is an eclectic array of time period items that reflect the building’s personality including old gas pumps, antique signs, oil pumps — and yes — even a couple of (Ford) Model T’s,” Sullivan said.
The Perfect Pairing Boutique’s curated collection includes memorabilia dating back to the 1940s: brass and copper accessories, military-tent repurposed bags, and more hidden gems of history. Sullivan said their inventory will rotate on a monthly basis, with the intent to create a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for its growing customer base.
Sullivan’s daughter has supported the Perfect Pairing Boutique’s active social media presence online, where curated looks with inventory from both new and eclectic pieces are shared — all available for sale at the shop.
With a soft launch of the business last month, the Perfect Pairing Boutique will host its official grand opening during the weekends of June 12-14 and 19-21. Both celebrations will include gifts with purchase and drawings for prizes, Sullivan said.
The owner will continue to give back to the Chippewa Falls community, with plans to host a coat drive later in the summer among other events to be announced through the business’ social media platforms.
Business hours of the Perfect Pairing Boutiqu (501 West Elm St., Chippewa Falls) are Thursday from 10am-4pm, Friday from 11am-5pm, and Saturday from 10am-2pm.
