With a constant eye on the future, The Pretty Peach Wax and Skin Boutique has maintained its commitment to provide accessible and high-quality body care with advanced skin treatments.

The Pretty Peach (521 N. Bridge St. in Chippewa Falls) offers a welcoming and bright atmosphere — with clean, comfortable treatment rooms and a team of dedicated estheticians, according to their website.

The Pretty Peach — which opened its doors in late June of 2023 — now approaches its second full year in business. Makenzie Nordin, owner and operator of The Pretty Peach, continues to bring a wealth of knowledge accumulated over decades in the field of esthetics to her business.

Driven by her deep understanding of established practices, Nordin said her dedication to continuous learning and adaptation within the ever-evolving beauty industry remains constant.

“This is an ever changing and growing industry,” Nordin said. “I always strive to carry the cleanest, nontoxic skincare and body care products on the market — we have switched up our brands and products based on client needs and wanting to expand more into the holistic realm of skincare.”

The Pretty Peach has grown beyond its original wax and skincare offerings, which are detailed on its website. With expanded services, the business now offers dermaplaning, nano needling, and galvanic current treatments.

The boutique greets newcomers and returning clients with its signature bright walls and sun-drenched atmosphere, creating a welcoming space before and after appointments. “I’m very proud of creating a space (where) people feel excited, happy and comfortable to be in,” Nordin said.

With a focus on innovation and growth, Nordin has strategically brought on Sara Stimac as The Pretty Peach's second full-time employee in the past year — Nordin being the first.

“I am proud of a lot of things (at The Pretty Peach), Sara being the biggest,” Nordin said. “Seeing her growth (in) becoming a great esthetician and her willingness to get out of her comfort zone.”

The boutique’s layout has been intentionally adjusted since its initial opening to achieve optimal flow. Its expansion, featuring new treatment rooms and revised retail and waiting spaces, continues to draw heavily from mid-century aesthetics.

The boutique's retail offerings include sustainable and eco-friendly bath and body products, designed to complement the aftercare of their waxing and skin studio services, Nordin said.

Clients travel from Eau Claire, Bloomer, and even as far as Marshfield for services at The Pretty Peach, she said.

 

Located in the heart of downtown Chippewa Falls, The Pretty Peach has cultivated relationships with nearby businesses and local events, demonstrating their relationship-building efforts go beyond just their clientele.

“Fostering these relationships is very important to us. We’re always open to collaborating with other small businesses,” Nordin said. “I feel like the care and attention to detail that we have in our space and during our services keeps people coming back.”
