This year’s Hall-EAU-ween 5K welcomed a total of 1,500 participants, organizers shared online. Presented by the Eau Claire Marathon, the family friendly run and walk around the city of Eau Claire has become an annual tradition.

"From the incredible costumes to the glowing course and all the Halloween fun, Friday night was one for the books," marathon organizers shared to fans on social media.

Complete with costumes, frightful surprises and plenty of spooky spirits, locals who participated received a themed finisher medal and cozy black-and-white checkered Hall-EAU-ween blanket.

Perhaps most exciting, a contest for best Halloween costumes resulted in 10-plus winners. From a "Most Creative" trash can and raccoon to "Best Kids' Costume" of the Magic School Bus, local participants brought much creativity to the weekend event.
