Annual summertime blues festival, Blues on the Chippewa, filled Veteran's Memorial Park (100 River St., Durand) with smooth sounds and camaraderie once again from July 31-Aug. 2. The free-to-attend event simply asks attendees to consider donating sometime throughout the multi-day fest, which supports regional organizations. 

This year's headliners included the "Queen of Blues," Shemekia Copeland, as well as soulful funk band Hot Like Mars and acclaimed guitarist Rico McFarland. Craft and food vendors also gathered at the park for the festival, while rainy weather couldn't stop festgoers from enjoying jams all weekend long.
