In our 2021 Best of the Chippewa Valley Poll, we asked our readers what their favorites (and sometimes least favorites) were in more than 300 categories. Here’s what the voters had to say about the Best New Restaurants of the past year.

Tired of your dining routine? Here are readers’ top picks for restaurants you may not have tried yet! Jay Ray’s Deli (1907 Brackett Ave., Eau Claire) features sandwiches and soups, plus a drive-through! Anderson’s Chic-n-fish (615 W. Park Ave., Chippewa Falls) gets you as close to “fair food” as you can get without a Ferris wheel: cheese curds, corn dogs, and of course, fried chicken and fish. Follow up these two with dessert from Josef’s Cheesecake Cupcakes (29 W. Spring St., Chippewa Falls). With an Eau Claire location on their wishlist, and more than 100 flavors of cheesecake, something there is bound to make you cheesin’.
