In our 2021 Best of the Chippewa Valley Poll, we asked our readers what their favorites (and sometimes least favorites) were in more than 300 categories. Here’s the voters’ take the sweetest category – Best Bakery!

Sue’s Deluxe Bake Shop (1319 Birch St., Eau Claire), with a wide array of homemade cookies, cinnamon rolls, and sweet danishes, takes the win for the eighth year in a row. With great care and concern for the community, Sue’s is always prepared with some fresh baked breads and buns.
2. The Nostalgic Bean
The Nostalgic Bean (1403 Lynn Ave., Altoona) sneaks its way into second place with mouth-watering, authentic French bakery goods, including shortbread, madeleines, and croissants.
3. Great Harvest Bread
