Pop-Up Parks and Rec Classes Planned This Week
The school year may be almost here, but Eau Claire kids have one last chance for some pop-up summer recreation programs this week.
The city Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department is offering RecRecess fun at three neighborhood parks this week.
Kids ages 8-11 can spend a morning trying out new activities and hanging out with friends. Instructor led activities may include: basketball skills, bean bag toss, croquet, kite flying, ladder golf, foot golf, and other activities that can be easily physically distanced.
Here’s the RecRecess schedule:
- Tuesday, Aug. 25, 10am-12pm, Boyd Neighborhood Park
- Wednesday, Aug. 26, 10am-12pm, Newell Neighborhood Park
- Thursday, Aug. 27, 10am-12pm, Cameron Neighborhood Park
Face masks are required, and so is registration – with a fee of $7 per class. The maximum number of students for each class is 16.
