Larson Companies, Indianhead Foodservice Distributor (IFD) and Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse have partnered to provide meals for local semi-truck drivers. The program, Meals for 18 Wheelers delivered the first 400 meals on April 28. For many the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the way business is done yet for the essential worker, like truck drivers, the work cannot stop.

IFD provides the food product and packaging for the Meals for 18 Wheelers program and Larson Companies and Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse creates and prepares the innovative food menus. The beneficiaries are Marten Transport semi-drivers.

“During these challenging times we wanted to do something that would benefit those that are doing critical work. We saw an opportunity to recognize an unmet need of providing meals to truck drivers.
