Aging and Disability Resource Center Makes Changes, Still Provides Services
ADRC adapts to necessities during COVID-19, still provides services to 60+
Due to the situation with COVID-19, the ADRC of Eau Claire County has made the following changes:
- Even while our lobby is closed for the time being, staff continue to work
- We continue to serve via phone, email or online. Call us at 715-839-4735; adrc@co.eau-claire.wi.us
- Meals on Wheels continues to be delivered on a weekday basis and is accepting new participants ages 60 and older. 715-839-4735 or 715-839-4886
- Senior Dining Sites are closed, some sites offer “grab and go” meals or you could consider Meals on Wheels instead
- All Face to Face Health Promotions and Support groups have been postponed, however online options may be a possibility.
ADRC Provides the following Services:
- Information, Assistance and Long-Term Care Options Counseling- Information about housing, transportation, supportive home care and much more.
- Nutrition Services- Meals on Wheels and senior dining site, Ensure Plus liquid supplement.
- Family Caregiver Support- Respite, support groups, education, counseling, caregiver resources
- Dementia Care Specialist- Support for people living with dementia and their care partners
- Elder and Disability Benefit Counseling- Accurate information on private and public benefits and programs, Medicare, Medicare Part D, supplemental insurance
- Health Promotion and Prevention- Evidence based Prevention Programs.
- Transportation- Para transit program and rides to the grocery store and other planned events with ADRC van
- Volunteer Opportunities- Meals on Wheels drivers, Meals on Wheels Kitchen and Senior Dining sites
