It looks like Girolamo's Court 'n House Bar & Grill – a longtime local favorite for burgers and beers at 113 West Grand Avenue – is up for sale. The complete property, which includes the Court 'n House, the adjacent sideBAR event space, and two residential rental units is listed at $1.2M.
The building, constructed in 1885, rests upon a .17 acre lot located between the Grand Avenue footbridge and the Eau Claire County Courthouse. Included in the sale is all equipment, licenses, and inventory. The apartments are over the sideBAR, while the space over the Court 'n House is unfinished. Eight off-street parking spaces are part of the deal.
The Court 'n House is obviously one our readers’ favorite places. In our 2020 Best of the Chippewa Valley Reader Poll, it won top honors for Best Burger, and placed in Best Comfort Food (3rd), Best Restaurant for a Fish Fry (2nd), and Best Restaurant for Late-night Noshing (3rd).
