Night-Time Snowy Shenanigans

More snow means more fun at Volume One’s Winter After Hours event series. Join us each Thursday Jan. 2-Feb. 27 between 6 and 8pm at Pinehurst Park (3523 Delbert Road, Eau Claire) for wintry recreation from relaxing by the fire to carving down the snowboarding terrain park.  Sledding and tubing are old standbys, but guests can enjoy snowshoeing and ice skating with rentals from Riverside Bike & Skate, cross country skiing on miles of lit and groomed trails, music, and winter kubb.

Hot cocoa is always waiting inside the toasty warming hut for kids and grown-ups who need to recharge before heading back out into the chilly night. Check in at www.volumeone.org/winter for a schedule of fun themed nights: The first will be a cross country ski race on Jan. 9. Other events throughout the season include a fat tire bike race, a candlelit snowshoe and hike, a snowboard demo, and a winter safety day featuring Eau Claire Fire and Rescue, a fire truck, and delicious hotdogs. Thanks to the event’s sponsors, all activities at Winter After Hours are free for the whole family.

More information about the program will be added to the website in the coming weeks.
