Chippewa Valley Museum to Hold Anti-Valentine’s Day Bash

Hannah Mumm |

Calling all brokenhearted Hallmark-haters and cupid-skeptics – a night of Anti-V-Day solidarity awaits you. The Chippewa Valley Museum is hosting a celebration for you on February 10. The grown-ups-only event, called After Dark: Love and War, is the second in Leadership Eau Claire’s “After Dark” series (following a ‘90s throwback party in November). Have a laugh at your sentimental friends’ expense at a dark comedy show featuring local comedians. Channel the rage from your recent break-up and smash a piñata, numb the V-Day blues with wine and beer, eat your feelings with unlimited pizza and ice-cream sundaes, and practice non-violent protest with a Pollock-style paint-n’-sip. Tickets also include behind-the-scenes tours of the CVM’s collections and free passes to check out the exhibits you miss.

Love and War, along with all After Dark events, is intended to unite young professionals and parents in the Chippewa Valley and encourage exploration of EC’s arts, cultural, and educational institutions. For more about the After Dark program and to see future After Dark events, like After Dark on Facebook.
