Take the Health Survey, Then Call Me in the Morning

Solving a problem or improving a situation usually begins with asking the right questions. And so a broad coalition of health organizations has launched a survey to gather information that can be used to improve the lives Chippewa Vallians. The Community Health Survey for Chippewa and Eau Claire Counties is an anonymous 14-question online assessment that seeks public attitudes about chronic disease prevention, access to healthy food, alcohol abuse, environmental health, and other topics. According to a press release, “Survey results will indicate areas where resources should be directed to improve residents’ health and well-being. Coalition members will work in concert to address these needs, thereby reducing duplication of efforts and improving regional impact.” The survey, which will be conducted throughout the month of October, can be found online at http://bit.ly/CHNA14 , by calling (715) 579-5962, or by visiting any public library in Eau Claire or Chippewa counties. It was created by the Chippewa County/Eau Claire County Community Health Improvement Project, a coalition of public and private entities including the Chippewa County Department of Public Health, Eau Claire City-County Health Department, Marshfield Clinic, Mayo Clinic Health System, Sacred Heart Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital and other local agencies.
