It may not be November yet, but you can still vote, at least for your favorite piece in the Chippewa Valley’s biggest outdoor art exhibit. The Sculpture Tour Eau Claire is soliciting votes for its annual People’s Choice Award. Ballots can be found and cast in the ballot boxes attached to poles along the streets where sculptures are on display – namely along North and South Barstow Street, Water Street, and the Mayo Clinic Health System campus. Are you loving the skateboarding monkey? The ghostly sack race? Or something else? The deadline for voting is Sept. 30, and the winning sculpture will be donated by the tour for permanent display in the city. Past winners include Mother’s Undivided Love (now in Carson Park), The Blind Spot (now in Owen Park), and High 5 (now in Phoenix Park). Learn more about the tour and the art at sculpturetour.org; you can also make a donation toward the tour’s future by sending a check to Sculpture Tour, c/o Eau Claire Community Foundation, 306 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire, WI 54701.
