The first Chippewa Valley Dunkin’ Donuts will be where?
Ever since the announcement last year that the Chippewa Valley would soon get a Dunkin’ Donuts franchise, local taste buds have tingled in anticipation. Now the location for the fabled purveyor of fried and frosted treats has been revealed: 2836 N. Clairemont Ave. (That’s at the intersection of North Clairemont and Folsom Street, just south of the west-side Menards.) The Dunkin’ Donuts will be inside a multi-tenant commercial building that also houses a Dollar Tree discount store. Proposals detailing street-side signs on the property were scheduled to go before the Eau Claire Plan Commission last night (Monday, May 5), but there’s no word yet on exactly when we’ll be able to buy some of the glazed goodies and cups of the (self-proclaimed) "world’s best coffee."
Last year, Travel Mart, Inc. signed a development agreement for seven new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Chippewa Valley and La Crosse areas – including shops in both Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire.
