Chamber commissions new city montage illustration

You may have noticed prints such as the one above hanging up in businesses around Eau Claire and caught yourself staring at all the little details, picking out local landmarks and businesses. They're commissioned by the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce (the last one they did was in 1997) as a service to their members – the local companies and shops in which you usually see them. But that's about to change.
The Chamber commissioned a brand new one this year, and they've worked with The Local Store (205 N. Dewey St.) to make it available for sale. So for $22 you can have your very own. (You can also pick one up right at the Chamber, 101 N. Farwell St.)
This print was produced by Minnesota artist Bruce Loeschen who's been creating pen and ink montages of towns throughout the country for over 25 years. And the new Eau Claire one is his last, as he's retiring this year. (He also created the last Eau Claire illustration back in 1997.)
It serves as a unique snapshot of Eau Claire at the end opf 2012. Stop down to the shop and have a look (205 N. Dewey St., downtown Eau Claire). Online here.
