In case you missed last night's broadcast of 89.3 The Current's all-Eau Claire version of The Local Show, you can listen to the little triangle below. The first half of the show had Justin Vernon playing some of his favorite local tracks, most of them older tunes, many from EC bands o' yore (Sled Napkin, Venison, and of course, Amateur Love).

The second half featured three in-studio performances from The Daredevil Christopher Wright and a whole big slew of local tracks (see the complete list below). The show's producers received an "overwhelming" number of submissions, and they "were not able to include them all. However, this gives us a big reason to do The Local Show: Eau Claire Edition Round 2!" So that's awesome.

A lot of music blogs around the, um, world picked up on a few sentences from Vernon – when asked about the latest from Bon Iver, he said, "Winding it down. I look at it like a faucet. I have to turn it off and walk away from it because so much of how that music comes together is subconscious or discovering. There's so much attention on the band, it can be distracting at times. I really feel the need to walk away from it while I still care about it. And then if I come back to it – if at all – I'll feel better about it and be renewed or something to do that."
