Climate Impacts Day, held worldwide on May 5, asked communities to connect the dots between climate change and extreme weather, and in Eau Claire activists snapped a photo (above) of them holding bright orange dots that appeared in the official video (photo appears about 1 minutes 41 seconds into video) celebrating the global Connect the Dots campaign. 350.org called for the May 5 actions, and a new Eau Claire grassroots organization called Climate Action Now! (CAN) organized the local event where the photo was taken on the bank of the Chippewa River near the UW-Eau Claire footbridge.
