Time to resurrect your one-man/woman show from the recesses of your hard drive. We just heard that the Minnesota Fringe festival is encouraging performing artists in Wisconsin to consider applying for this summer’s installment o’ the fest. Shows can be of varied scopes and sizes.

Minnesota Fringe is "the Midwest’s largest performing arts festival” and the 2012 installment runs August 2-12, in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. In 2011, Fringe issued almost 50,000 tickets to the 167 participating shows in the eleven day festival. The shows cover comedy, drama, musical theater, dance, opera, improv, kids fare, and more. Participating artists get 65% of the box office receipts for their shows, and last year, Fringe paid out close to $250,000 to the players. Read more here.
