Well, despite Mother Nature’s Watery Fury raining down upon us for the third year in a row, Chalkfest 2011 (Aug. 6) made for a fantastic Saturday. Bigger crowds than ever filed into downtown Eau Claire’s Wilson Park to mingle among the artists as they toiled away on their sidewalk panels. The rain came in late afternoon, scattering the people and basically power-washing most of the sidewalks clean.

But thousands of votes were cast for the Audience Choice award, and our judges had their work cut out for them, judging their favorites in the Adult - Individual, Adult - Group, Youth - Individual, and Youth - Group categories.
