Garrison Hearts Bruce

Just yesterday, local poet (not to mention Professor Emeritus of Creative Writing and American Literature at UW-Eau Claire) Bruce Taylor had the pleasure of hearing his poetry ooze from Garrison Keillor’s honey-soaked mouth – on NPR’s nationally syndicated Writer’s Almanac show. The poem, “His Good Felt Hat,” can be found in Taylor’s 2005 book Pity the World.
Everyday, the Writer’s Almanac radio series recounts poems, prose, and literary history. Apparently a fan of Taylor, this is the second poem from Pity The World Keillor’s read on air, the other being “Middle-Aged Men, Leaning,” back in November 2008.
