So back in January, Eau Claire-based hard rock trio Andys Doomsday Device released a single as a teaser for their forthcoming album (they had a self-titled release in 2009). Known for playing several cover tunes at live shows, ADD here presents their version of The Beatles classic Eleanor Rigby. And if you were thinking to yourself, "Self, I like this cornerstone of classic rock, but I'd really like it to rock a bit harder," then you're in luck.

And the story isn't entirely about the single, but the surprising airplay of the single in radio stations in Spain, Ireland, Scotland, and Canada, as well as Georgia, Ohio, Texas, and (closest to home) on The Current.

"I'm awfully excited about this song," they wrote in their e-mail newsletter. "It's our best work yet. And soon after that we'll be releasing our original music and then our CD. So, bear with me, I'm not one to bother you too much, but keep your eyes on us." So listen to the song below:
