Next Month: GAYNGS to get 'Affiliyated'
As reported by the City Pages over yonder in the Twin Cities, GAYNGS (it's always ALL CAPS, right?) will be returning to First Avenue on Sunday, March 6 for a three-room showcase event featuring the supergroup's many affiliated bands – with the notable exception of Bon Iver. Why "No Iver"? Beyond contractual obligations at which we can only guess, sources indicate adding Bon Iver to this lineup would induce an epidemic of face explosions within the indie rock community – the likes of which we haven't seen since Radiohead and Wilco joined forces for a secret album of Leonard Cohen covers [citation needed].
