Lifetime
Sun rising in a horizontal line
Orange with a dash of pink
The reflection of the sun
On the surface of the water
Where the birds fly in different directions
Laying on the grains of sand
Tanning yourself with the right shade of brown
With the sunglasses on your forehead
Humming the song that is too loveable to forget
Watching all the kids running
Making sand castles
Gazing at the parents with a grin
Chills on your arms
When the sun becomes bright
And clouds appear in puffy white smoke
The fish even watch it turn in a light shade of yellow
That’s when the sons and dads
Go out with their sailboats
And sail away to the end of the ocean
Trying to catch the sun before it leaves
But you just think of beauty
When the space between you and the ocean
Becomes thinner
When your hair gets damp
Your arms shiver while your legs feel soft
Losing your balance and fall in
Little children laughing
Dogs barking
Mom putting sunscreen on
Dads playing with his little babies
The sun become smaller
The colors dim
The clouds disappear into stars
The moon rises in the hills of grass
Little kids get dressed
Moms pack up
Sons and dads row back to land
While you just lay there waiting
For the next sun rise
