I hide in the ground
And the sky
To the largest of places
To the tiniest
But don’t peek while you count to see where I hide
Or we start over
And I count less with a head start
Because you looked

I’m so small I could fit in a tiny cupboard
And
I can be as big as a dinosaur
But truly
I’m not

I can see you
Can you see me?
I will know when you find me

As you shout my name while smiling, looking for me
I giggle at you

And boy
I love it
And even its name

“Oh, you’ve found me” I would say
“Let’s play again! Please?” you would ask
I responded by counting
As you smiled and hid
