Powder

A cool winter breeze touches my face as I make my way down the hill
The snow glistening at my feet and blinding my eyes
I am speed as I zoom down the hill while I catch a bit of fresh powder
The mountains are sounding me like I’m in a giant bowl
Snow sprinkling down on the ground like powdered sugar falling on a cake
I plant my pole and make a wild sharp turn and accidently hit a jump
The curve of the jump launches me into the air
That is when the time seems to stop around me I am hovering on the air
I land in a fresh new dusting of snow
This is skiing, this is my life
