Head Start

The sky begins to open like
A clam
Revealing the pearl
Of sunlight which shines upon
The land in a sleepy morning sun
A flock of sea birds floats effortlessly
Above the brackish sea waters
The fierce wind licks at their coarse feathers
Sending the birds in brisk bobbing
Motions as they glide through the gloomy air
The sky is a clock slowly ticking away
For the sun to finally show it’s true glory
Upon the sea
And rouse the many fish resting by the sea floor
That the birds so desperately
Desire
They squawk and chatter
Amongst themselves as they
Decide their plan of action
But for now they are left to ride the current
Of the wind
Quietly and patiently waiting
For their quarry
