Dead Dogs & Gentle Guest plan rip-roarin' pub crawl
Right up there with Drunk Drivers and Shouting Matches, The Gentle Guest and Dead Dogs are among an elite group of area bands inspired by the devil's broth grandpa's cough syrup the bottle booze. So it's suiting that the foot-stompin' groups have thrown together a downtown pub crawl for Monday, Dec. 20.
Resembling The Gentle Guest's Ramble Round Pub Crawl to mark the release of their ridiculously amazing album Cast Off Your Human Form, the bands will hit up various downtown imbiberies, including Clancy's, The Mousetrap, Bottle & Barrel, and The Fire House. Eric "Pedals" Thompson (of Dead Dogs) estimates starting around 7pm and hitting up each spot with half-hour intervals, ultimately ending around 11 or midnight. Of course, it depends how much "fun" they have while doing it. And by fun I mean liquor. Was that not clear?
