Sunday: UW-Eau Claire's International Folk Fair
UWEC's International Folk Fair brings together the community in celebration of culture and offers an enriching cultural and educational experience. This is your opportunity to sample foods from around the world, be entertained by international performers, see colorful cultural exhibits, and experience the history and languages of other cultures without leaving Eau Claire. FILM | Le Samourai: A dedicated professional killer lies fully clothed in his monochromed apartment, then goes off to a day at the office: stealing a car, killing a man in a nightclub, setting up an ironclad alibi, and outsmarting the police. Two problems: his anonymous employers don't trust him and he's left one witness behind, a beautiful jazz pianist. Based on the novel "The Ronin" by Joan McLeod. STAGE | Lost in Yonkers: Neil Simon hits a home run with Lost in Yonkers, winner of a Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award. Set in Yonkers, New York in 1942, teenagers Jay and Arty have been left with their domineering grandmother, who teaches the boys independence and responsibility, as they help her discover the true nature of love. MIC | The Mousetrap Open Mic: Come on down to Eau Claire's longest currently running open mic hosted by EverGreen Grass Band. This is a great opportunity to gain experience performing live without going through the process of finding normal music gigs. All genres welcome. Bring your own instrument.
