Eau Claire wants your money makin’ opinions

Mike Paulus |

The City of Eau Claire is looking for your input on how to make/save some money during the 2011 budget period. They’ve actually held a series of (barely publicized) public input meetings on the topic, and now they’re running an online survey to see what the citizenry wants them to do. So if you’re the kind of citizen who likes to complain, don’t say they city didn’t ask for your two cents.

They’ve got 15 potential options for “creating additional revenues to pay for the costs of public structures and services” (which you can strongly disagree, disagree, neither agree nor disagree, agree, or strongly agree with). Options range from “sell excess City-owned property” to exciting ideas like “improve billing accuracy of water meters.” They also have an open field to add your own ideas.

Take the survey. Maybe you'll help EC make some cash.
