Saturday, August 14 saw Volume One’s 3rd annual Chalkfest (part of downtown Eau Claire’s Summerfest event). This year’s Chalkfest brought over 90 artists to Eau Claire’s Wilson Park for a firestorm of creativity – panels of sidewalk became concrete canvases for the artists, most of whom were locals. There was a steady and strong flow of sidewalk gawkers all day long appreciating the sunny weather and fine artwork. Around 1,500 votes were cast in the “audience choice” competition.
