Little ol’ Durand becomes blues central this weekend! Blues on the Chippewa is back for the third year in a row, with 15 blues bands over two days. BOOM | US Boomerang National Tournament: "Boomerang," Australian for "awesome." The only thing that could make this better is an appearance by Crocodile Dundee. Registration starts at 8am, for the long distance competition and 8am, August 6th for the tournament. CHOMP | Eastside Hill Neighborhood Annual Picnic: This picnic is a great way for neighbors to meet and enjoy a splendid summer day at beautiful Boyd Park along the Eau Claire River. Food will be provided for free! (Boyd Park, off Main St., Eau Claire; Sat. 3-5:30pm; free)

CROON | Always… Patsy Cline: This musical tribute is complete with down home country humor and many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and Waking After Midnight. There's 27 songs in all. The show was inspired by Cline's letters to a fan, which she always signed “Love ALWAYS...
