Can we have a movie, too?

Well, Transformers 3 has finished filming in the Milwaukee Art Museum, where filmmakers had decided to jaunt over and shoot a few scenes while they were working in Chicago. The movie – expected to totally reinvent the mega explosion blockbuster humongous raging robot LASER BLAST film genre – will be released in the summer of 2011. From the AP:
- The city was abuzz Monday and Tuesday as crews worked inside and outside of the museum, with sightings of the film's stars Shia LaBeouf (SHY'-uh luh-BUFF') and Patrick Dempsey. Director Michael Bay was also there.
- ... VISIT Milwaukee has estimated the production will bring $1 million to the area in salaries, hotels, food, fuel and equipment. VISIT Milwaukee spokesman Dave Fantle says film crews are still negotiating over filming at the empty Tower Automotive site.
That’s really fantastic (fan-ËTAS-tik) for Milwaukee (mil-ËWÈ®-kÄ). I only wish they’d shoot a summer blockbuster (ËBLÄK-ËbÉs-tÉr) up here in Eau Claire (Å-Ëkler) or Chippewa Falls (FAWLZ). Maybe they could shoot a few awesome Harry Potter magic wand duels at the Leinie Lodge.
